Had Shah done a fraction of what Islamic Regime is doing to the people of Iran, perhaps we all be far far happier now in Iran. It is kind of poetic justice of what the children of the same people who so naively betrayed the man who gave them so much, is it not? I pity you,&my heart go to the angles of Persia Sohrabs, Nedas and Taranehs of Iran who are paying for what their parents did to their country.

Those who fought to overthrow the Shaw/SAVAK were honest , brave, and had World WIde support--their idealism was so sincere that to look back on them, and to see their children making the same fatal error breaks my heart. They had no thought of how to dismantle Revolutionary Guards, post-revolution. Can Rafsanjani and Mousavi do it? Anything was thought better than the Shaw/SAvak. Establishing a secular state, insuring its survival will be a tremendous challenge for this generation.

Ironaically and admittedly and so tragically Sohrab's mother was one of millions who 30 years ago demonstrated against the Shah for the establishment of Islamic Republic in Iran.
When sons and daughters of Iran try to undo their parents evil deeds and die in doing so is the most brutal punishment the parents can take for their wrong doings... Rest in peace Sohrab for your death has given a nation the strength to take your country back from the evil.
