1. Front ground is best on strut tower bolt which goes directly to your actual frame of the vehicle rather than the flimsy piece of metal most people use. (sand well)
2. Ground in the rear? of the vehicle at the strut tower bolts rather than the flimsy metal as well. (sand well)
3. Fuse the cable from your alt to your pos battery terminal just incase it shorts.

@SubMasterT - Yes, that's completely normal - Just as long a the arc does persist more than 1 second after the initial connection is made.

@2sv15039 - You alternator ground IS your engine ground - You need to ground your ENGINE BLOCK to your battery, which in turn grounds the alt...

Hey bro, i have a question. I have a pair of 600 watt, 5 way pioneer 6x9's installed in my car. For some odd reason the one on the driver side static's, and sound's busted as if it has a shortage. I know the speaker isn't blown because, i experienced this problem with the last pair, and bought these brand new, and have the same problem. It does it on certain song's. I have it connected to an alpine mrp f-300 4 channel. PLEASE get back with me SOON with suggestion's, THNX!!!

@wiggster1080 actually he forgot to add a yellow top battery and a higher output alternator. those are the other 2 of the big 3.
