@Indygoguy I think you're living in the past, robot's have gained artificial intelligence, some have been taught how to feel anger or happiness, some have been taught how to hold a conversation, and some have been taught to become self aware or sentient. Its nothing new. Art is not something unique to humans either way, there are animals that are taught to paint as well, and they aren't even self aware. Reality is robots are being made into the image of humans, and will be just like them.

@NelielTuOderswank You can program it to paint, but you can not program it to "want to" paint. You will only be programing the programmers want into it, it is not the same thing. It is then just merely a mechanical extension of the programmer. Sentience has not really been achieved, all that has been accomplished is computers have been programmed to carry out intellectual tasks, once again purely mechanical operation, the goal has been chosen b y the programmer
