Walking around and showing my AMF-S14 Maranda.
AMF-S14 Maranda is a plans built wood & fabric airplane, this one was completed in 1978. It has been our toy sine 2000.
It has a Lycoming O-290D2B with a 72" Warp Drive (carbon fiber) propeller. It has a basic day/night VFR pannel. Cruise is about 100 MPH economy setting. The wing has no flaps but it has full-span ailerons, which helps out with cross-wind landings. We can carry 140 liters of fuel in the two wing tanks. Fuel burn is about 22L/h economy power setting. The airplane is a charm to fly, very responsive on all controls. The two main tires are 8.00-6 and a Scott fully-steerable tail wheel.
One draw back is it has only one door on the passenger side. This makes it little cumbersome to get in or out, but once you get use to it, no problems.

  • Beautiful airplane. Do you like those tail view video's where a person straps a camera to the airplane tail and does a excellent flying video. I've seen some that were very exciting.

  • @SphinxFriend: it's in my plans to do that, especial that now I have a real good camera for that purpose. Probably will not happen till the spring...

  • Can't wait to see it, wish you the best of luck. Whenever I can get myself a camera I hope to be able to get access to a real theater pipe organ and do a video on the pipes.

  • Good looker. Nothing toy about those proportions

    either. Nice work!
