neo geo was a great great system as a kid. unfortunately, in my personal opinion, i'd rather play classic sega genesis games than neo geo because the neo geo feel like they aged and old school less sophisticated arcade games.

@rturd1 Haha it's 16 bit, don't let anyone tell you it's 24 bit cus it has an 8 bit co processor, because the Sega Genesis did too.

So true about Metal Slug... the sprites are pretty damn amazing! It's just a look we don't see anymore, but that also helps make these games special

The first Neo Geo game I ever played was Metal Slug 3. On my home from school when I was in Middle School, I would stop by this donut shop with a friend of mine. Next door to this donut shop was a laundromat. We walked in there one day out of boredom and noticed 2 arcade cabinets. One was Marvel vs. Capcom and the other was Metal Slug 3. Me and my friend Carlo would save up our quarters and go to that laundromat everyday after school and play both of those games. Great memories.

@rturd1 It was 24 bit. It had a 16 bit and 8 bit processor.
