Put the projector into High lamp power and leave it on for a few hours. It should eliminate arc wander.

Nice to watch your ax200 flickering from my flickering screen projected by... the famous ax200 :D

I had a problem with flickering on my PT AE-700u projector, not as severe but it was still apparant. I connected it to an expensive monster surge protector and the flickering stopped. It may be detecting changes in line voltage and displaying them as the screen flickering.

I'd just like to add that I've recently started to experience flickering issue again. It has been repaired/updated 3 times already under warranty, but now it is out of warranty. I've asked Panasonic to replace the unit as the original issue was never resolved under warranty.

@toniz0 Yeah, its pretty frustrating. However, the latest round of repairs appears to have fixed the issue somewhat. They replaced the bulb and updated the firmware. It seems like they might have fixed the major flickering problems..... My unit is now out of warranty so fingers crossed.

@Barrie662: That is an interesting conclusion. A surge protector is only going to protect against one off power spikes, rather than regulating voltage like a sine-wave inverter. The problem as described by Panasonic is that the bulb terminals become flat and then the arc formed moves around inside the bulb. Apparently there is a firmware fix for this which I haven't got yet, which adjusts the bulb brightness over time, which apparently mitigates the issue.
