Pyramiddd - Isabella of Castile live at The Flowerpot, London

One of my favourite songs of all-time, and it sounded amazingly perfect in live-form on the night too.

I didn't realise I was swaying the camera along, apologies if I give anyone motion sickness....

It wasn't long before this gig, there was another band with the same name in Europe and they were getting turned down for lots of decent tour supports too, just because of the name. It was a bit weird at first but I like the new name. :-)

in that case, it seems weird that they would change their name to pyramiddd! i think it is a nice name though. and isabella of castile is such a badass song. the sounds and vocals - everything just goes together well

They did a fan competition to choose the name, but then decided they liked Pyramid, I think they were inspired by the pyramids on some of their recent artwork, and later a couple of extra d's appeared on the end of the name which I preferred because it's a bit different.

I agree, Isabella of Castile is one of my favourites of all time, I love it. I couldn't believe how good it sounded live too.

Apparently there's a good chance they'll be back as a national tour support. :-) Did you go to any of the other gigs? I was at the Filthy Dukes support one too, which although the sound was better wasn't as enjoyable as this one. It was still good though!

Starf*cker has a new album out under the name starf*cker, not pyramiddd. It come out in march but i bought the prerelease. it's definantly the best album. this song rocks, just like every song they make. and sexton blake.
