Just finished Factions again with a friend the other day. First time in a while.

Watching the cinematics again after having played Nightfall shines a new light on those events.

@JusticeRetroHunter 12 years...heh.. Anyway, look. I don't have anything against factions or it's storyline, just this one thing where Shiro causes the Jade Wind.

And yes, in the movie Sauron explodes after his finger is cut off. I can imagine Arenanet was like: Oh wow, we can do something like that in our next game. Therefore, I find it cliché, also because there is no reason given why he explodes, he just does it...

I cant change your opinion on factions, but the story is really more in depth then you think, since it delves into the mindset of human nature, the theme of power and is also based on the tragedy of Macbeth.

and btw, in LotR, Sauron never explodes. your thinking of world of warcraft or something.
