Actually I don't know if this is even called that, just "pop-open" came to mind. If anyone knows what this is really called enlighten me, haha.

If it took a full rotation then it would be my butterfly aerial, if it's a minor twist just to literally pop open then it's inventor was jeff imada, Don't know the name off hand as my books are not with me though. flick toss sounds right though.

It's a slight twist. I actually have never tried a full rotation--I should see what that's like. Thanks for the comment

Yeah when I tried for this I attempted tossing it up directly--horrible results haha. Anyway you make a quasi C with your index and thumb, rest bite handle on thumb and safe on index (or vice versa if you want). You then kinda twist your fingers in opposite directions--kind oflike snapping--all while motioning upward. Takes some tries. I still can't get the knife to land the same each time.

I tried that and i caught the blade lol... thank god it was a trainer
