Replacement of faulty flasher switch corrected my turn signal problems. Turn signal would work correctly at times, and incorrectly at other times. This drove me crazy and was extremely hazardous when driving, no one could help me correct the problem. I recommend purchasing a new flasher at a reputable auto parts store. In the demonstration I used one from a salvage yard.

  • Nice video - clear and concise instructions - now to see if it will work for my boyfriends Pontiac Grand Am ! Thanks : )

  • @PRGIRLY Thank you for your comment. Let me know if it works. I was recently driving a 2002 Chevrolet Impala and the owner told me that 'sometimes' the turn signal will work! Must be a GM thing.

  • Can I just replace the flasher and still keep the same ETS? Thanks

  • @WprEmiere1985 No problem, the ETS will come right out with a connector. I use a small straight screw driver and some patience.

  • Thanks. I called GM about the recall and they said they wouldn't replace endorse it.

  • @WprEmiere1985 Doesn't surprise me. The age of the car probably has a factor to GM.

  • Thank-you for the demo :)

  • i had to do the same thing in my Alero. the hazard switches in aleros have a light in the switch which have a bad ground. so i bought on that didnt have a light in it. it onle cost me $12 but it would be nice if GM/Oldsmobile could refund me the money cause the part is recalled. but we all know that wont happen

  • this is exactly what i was looking for. i have a 2000 grand am and this is exactly what is happening with mine. im going to buy one tomorrow for sure. thanks so much for the video, its exactly what i was looking for.

  • Thank You. I just finished replacing the flasher and it's working just fine. I owe you my life. If I hadn't come across this video, who knows if I would've gotten in to a terrible wreck. Not having signal in los angeles can be dangerous lol
