Presented by the Columbus International Film + Video Festival on November 16 2008 at CCAD. A Promise to the Dead: The Exile Journey of Ariel Dorfman is an exploration of exile, memory, longing and democracy through the words and memories of playwright/author/activist, Ariel Dorfman. Stephen Holden of the New York Times called it "A life changing experience...a profile in courage colored with the anxiety of a human rights activist faced with painful moral choices." Admission is free for students, all others just $5 at the door.
