www.teamripped.com. Coach Wayne. I went from 1 pullup on Day 1 to finishing the entire Upper Body Massacre (30/15) workout from Tony Horton 1-on-1's (540 reps of pullups and pushups) by Day 150. Here's my tips on how I improved and how you can improve too!

  • How do I go from 1 chinup to 2 chinups without a stool in the gym?

  • @hamworld05 Do them at home :-)

  • im doin p90x and insanity now and i would like to get your results any tips.

  • @MrGramz09 Thanks man. Sure I've got tons of tips. Come check out the "my tips" section of my website, teamripped . com. Bring it!

  • wow, great tip man, hope this works for me, as I've been using "lat-pull machine" in an attempt to get strong enough for body-weight pull-ups. I've gained only 1 extra body-weight pull-up rep in 4 whole weeks :( my goal at this point should of been 6-8, I can do 6-8 chin-ups though :O is it normal to be able to do that many more chin-ups than pull-ups?

I really want to do pull-ups as I here that there the best for biceps and lats, and mine are very undeveloped compared to my chest and triceps.

  • @FLStudioBBuild3r Yes, chin ups are easier for most than pullups. Keep working at it and you'll keep getting better. But instead of using the lat machine, start doing the actual pullups and it will force your body to get stronger.

  • Good tips man! I've been thinking about buying a weighted vested to progress my pull ups (I've reached 10-15 reps but have plateaued). Hopefully I'll see some improvements by doing this.

  • @FLStudioBBuild3r Also, when you are at ur max rep for pull-ups, switch back to heavy-weighted lat pull-down machine. I have gained a lot of strength doing this. On the last set of pull-ups/ chin-ups of my routine, I go for burnout on pull-ups/chin-ups, burnout on assisted pull-ups/chin-ups, and then burnout on three weights (going from heavy to light) on the lat pull-down machine. I guarantee you will see results doing this. Hope this helps.

  • Its funny, but I am a big dude 6'6 and when I was younger, people couldn't understand why I had a hard time doing pull ups. I would try to tell them, thats its different when you 6'6 and over 250lbs.

  • When my copy comes through, I definitely want you as my coach!

  • your forearms are massive man

  • I am 6 weeks into P90X2. I am so impressed by how humble you are. It is a great thing to see. I make it a point to stay humble no matter how ripped I get and seeing someone else do it makes it that much better for me. I am 19 years old and you have already experienced one of my dreams. I want to workout with Tony Horton and Shaun T one day. God Bless you man. You are doing good things.
