my fav driving music

There is something about this song, or Pat Metheny for that matter, that just fills me with great memories and happiness. It just makes you forget your troubles... It almost makes you slip away from your burdens and it brings back those happier moments in time.

A Stanton, right ?. Great great PMG piece I was searching with good sound to share on the Futuro Fm 1989-1996 Facebook group where this became a big hit as well as DREAM OF THE RETURN. What makes these two tunes special to me is bassist- vocalists Pedro Aznar work. 4 thumbs up ! and thanks for honouring vinyl !

Great album as well!
I went to the concert 3 times back in those days and it was amazing.
All those instruments they use, the podium was completely covered with instruments.

@deedza second this, I heard Nick Holders version today, which is brilliant, but the original is better.

@mik300z Glad you like it mate, have you heard Nick Holder's version? It's called Summer Daze. Also check out Steve Reich-Electric Counter Point (Fast Movement) he played with Metheny and it's a amazing tune, The Orb sampled it on "Little fluffy clouds"

Beautiful. But I still don't comprehend all this hate towards nick holder, he just made another version of this song, there's nothing wrong with that

I agree, if anything it shows his love for Metheny's work and teaches younger people if they dig deeper and find who he sampled it will take them to people like Pat and other quality artists and only broaden their musical knowledge.
I mean for example cos of DJ Shadow you got kids listening to things like Tangerine Dream that might of never even heard of who TD are or even existed.
