Sha Rene' reflects on Michael Jackson Then and Now! R.I.P.1958-2009

Marcellus Cason interviews Sha Rene' and asks "How did Michael Jackson influence your music?" What can she say, Sha Rene' followed Michael Jackson's music and inspired her to continue to sing. Sha says, "Back then we would sit outside and sing, "ABC" and "I Want You Back." Sha Rene' wrote songs patterned after the same lyrics and beat. Everybody wore afros. It was so much fun! Sha Rene' singing at the age of 8 on stage , later followed his music and loved watching Mike on TV on American Bandstand! Then there was Soul Train! "We wish you Love, Peace & Soul!"

Marcellus goes on to ask the star about Thriller and her experiences. Sha Rene' recalls her brother buying her a "Thriller" Picture Disk" "I don't know where it is now, but I have lots of other things to show!" The 70's was a time where everybody wanted to be like Michael.

Sha Rene' recalls when everybody thought there was a rif between Michael and Jermaine but everybody loved the song, "Mama I think I've found that girl" yeah yeah, Sha sings a few notes in the in acapella and of course "I'll be there." her favorite song by MJ. Sha blows a bit for you here in her remembering MJ. Instead of remembering the bad times, we remember the good times.

Sha Rene' release her 12" song around the same time as "Bad" In the record stores music was flying off the shelves. Sha Rene' pays her respect and will stop today to watch the event, Michael's concert at the Staples Center!
