It's an age-old story. Love is blind and con men like Paul Roussan do not hesitate to take advantage of their love-stricken prey. May Norton (Joy Page) is a wealthy young widow who loans money to one such predator whom she thinks is in love with her. After Roussan and his accomplices put their confidence game in action, May Norton tells her story to Captain John Braddock (Reed Hadley).

  • Drinking and Smoking....those were the days!!!!!

  • "...we thought they'd never end."

  • I tells ya, if I didn't smoke Lucky Strikes already, I'd smoke his brand... he sells 'em better than Joe Camel - but not as good as Joe Friday in Dragnet - and man, when you could still get Chesterfields, *what* a smoke THEY were. Gorgeous!

    That said...

in the words of Yul Brynner, 'Don't Smoke!'

and as William Talman said (and you can find it on youtube), 'If you don't smoke, don't start. If you do, stop.'

  • A wicked pleasure to be sure.

  • Old Maurice Cass as the stamp salesman.

Cass was currently doing another ZIV series as "Professor Newton" in the Rocky Jones Space Ranger series.

  • I juxtaposed 53 for 63 - that should be obvious!

  • @vawlkee 63, not 53. I believe he had a heart attack. Could've been due to the smoking. But remember, just because they made pitches for the product didn't mean they really smoked them.

  • Is that why Reed Hadley died at age 53 in 1974?...Yup, smokin' does the darnedest things!
