@janetlholden007 Think u will find that was the British ..... Barbados was the 1st port of call from the Uk, so often the place where the repairs to ships would be done

@stephenmendes1 We are relatives of a sort. Your Auntie Doreen Mendes married into the Inniss family, and my wife is an Inniss. Doreen has been for dinner with us many times. That is why I felt free to use your photos, but with attribution. We were in Barbados this year (2011) for the month of March, and just returned home last week.
