  • Where can the bases be bought.... in Europe?

  • @gogol1st I agree -- almost identical game mechnics with airplane models added to make it look like miniatures. I thought the old Air Force game (before Avalon Hill bought it and over-engineered it) was about the best turn-based air combat game around. Very playable but also realistic.

  • I have Blue Max, CY6 should be easy to play so ! :)

  • @SlotraceDK i'd say it's a cover from Air Force \ Dauntless boardgame from Avalon Hill

  • Interesting variant of Blue Max!!!!

  • why dont they make it half electronic >.> so its easiser to use..

  • I bought 30, 1:285 planes on e-bay for $2 each (stands were extra), then I bought the "Tide of Iron" map expansion for the hex map. $21.

  • Wings of War Dawn of War?

I liked it but the gameplay isn't really the same. WOW works a little bit like RoboRally with planes and Check Your six Works like Canvas Eagles or Blue Max.

  • I just bought the base game and a handful of planes. Think I need to get the Over the Channel kit too. It has the flight stands and nobody seems to have them in stock any other way besides in the kits. I need to invest in a nice blue hex map as well. I have a feeling that there will be plenty of Check Your 6 being played at the local gaming club soon. :) The litko flight stands just aren't as good as the

    Noble Miniatures ones.

  • BAD ASS! Much better than Dawn of War, WWII. I love the way the scale can shift and the pilot reaction. MIdway here I come! Is there Infantry (AA) support? Ground attack rules?
