There are also a bunch of free text-to-speech engines you can try. The best is a page at att research. It's really a lot of fun. Explore the site. It shows how to adjust the speech speed and ethnicity of the speaker.

I don't think ... hard to say, really. I don't even remember which speech generation service I used. It think it was IBM.
