GoPro Kite-Cam : James Madison Park Flight : Jan 4 & 7, 2012

Kite aerial video clips and stills over James Madison Park in Madison, WI. Shot w/ a GoPro HD cam rigged to the back of a Prism E3 dual-line stunt kite on 180' lines.

This is a rear-facing rig so the cam looks off the back of the kite; that's how im able to get so close to buildings/structures. a front-facing rig doesnt allow this b/c of the wind shadow cast by the structure.

get stuck in a tree @ 2:00 -- only took 15 min to get down! no harm to kite or rig.

Because you can't see the kite or lines, it gives the viewer the impression of flying. That's very cool. I had the sensation (just for a second) that my feet were caught in the tree tops!!! Lol. Well done!!!
