er... Captain Sensible Trainspotting In Dawlish - one of Britain's wonderful seaside towns.... and still relatively unspoiled not yet having a high street containing the usual boring collection of boring corporate outlets.

Visit Dawlish... it's fab - and don't forget your Ian Allen UK locomotives book.

  • I love your music :-)

  • Met Captain in Saltash a couple of years ago, and he denied that he liked trains or had a class 47 named after him. He said 'it's the bass player who likes trains'. Did a stering gig with the Damned at the Livewire later that evening.

  • Sterling stuff. Love this stretch and the pink sheep on the hillsides. i have not picked up my Ian Allen books for years. I still get a buzz from locos, though. A class 47 named after you, eh? Sterling! I think they were the transition point between old and new diesels. I have some bits of Warships. Some brass pressure gagues etc, i love travelling along this stretch. Hope all is tickerty-boo!

  • Dr. Beeching annoys a keen cyclist like me. Places I could have easily travelled to on the train, my bike secured in the hold...But the bugger chopped those branches off and I can't tolerate coaches or buses for whatever reasons. Why do these people have to make life so hard for us all?

  • hey cap, my dad had a class 31 named after him "Our Eli" (Bill Baildon, train driver - Blackpool North). Happy days, bro! but Deltics rule! lol

  • It's Paul 'O Grady!

  • Beast ! Hello Squire, enjoyed the gig at Wolverhampton Civic last Sunday night !

  • awsome, went past dawlish on a HST back in May, did the same behind 2x class 37`s in June, bloody great view as you go along :D
