  • I shoot street and trust me this guy is really gutsy. Masterful really. He's achieving images that no one else will because no one will approach the subject the way he does. I think he'll be remembered for these images he's made. I'm encouraged to be a little more gutsy myself in my shooting

  • He's my hero, I love his pictures

  • @Moleskineman Thanks - one other reasonably sensitive, rational guy on YTube. Good luck. And keep playing your fine bass.

  • @11xzxzxz I agree. Street photography should be a social thing. You should talk to people, if they want to talk to you. Engage with your subject. Bruce Gilden is aggressive and offensive.

  • I'm a street shooter and this guy has no bedside manner and has been covering up the fights he's been in for years now. Asshole.

  • This guy is a great photographer. I wish I could be as brave as he is and take photos half as cool as his.

  • @ognistik Probably 'cause you're in Texas. Go to somewhere like NY and people probably won't notice unless you're in their face.

  • @Carterofmars yeah it would be easier if people nowadays wouldn't get all riled up over taking a photo of them... i don't shoot street, but i still get looks that i dont necessarily find positive...

  • surprised that people don't get upset with him. Here in Texas I've tried street photo and almost always get the hate look

  • @atrayue What do you mean by usable? In sharp focus? I bet 80% are "usable", considering he pre-focuses and pre-exposes.

  • Pompous Ass! I wonder how many of his snaps actually are usable? It's like hunting with a AK-47 - spray the field with a lot of pictures, you're sure to get 1 or 2 hits.

  • I love his work. Instead of "pretty" pictures like every other photographer, Bruce's photography always has a story behind it, which, in my opinion, is what it's all about. Does it speak to you? It does. And his photos are loud as shit.
