When we first saw Alex Roman's The Third&Seventh over a year ago, everyone was stunned by the photorealism of his CG worlds. With his latest commercial work, a spot for Grupo Cosentino's Silestone brand countertops, Roman once again shows his passion for cinematography, lighting and texture.

Although this spot is 100% CG, the beauty of the shots distract the viewer from this amazing fact. Each composition is elegantly balanced: light counterweights dark, chaos challenges order. The sparse soundtrack creates a sense of lightness and wonder, and we are invited into a world that seems so real, so tangible, that we fully accept the glass-like shattering of grapes and peppers.

It almost doesn't matter that the spot is purely digital. Sure, it's an eyebrow-raising footnote, but Roman is simply using the tools he knows best to tell his story. He just happens to be pushing the envelope of commercial CG production while he's doing it.

It is possible probably with 4-way or 3 way sli Titans, but of course not smooth when ur using more than 1920x1080

Yep i expected it to be a bit better as well but what's the sense in making a new generation of consoles if the game graphics are not mind blowing compared to the last generation. I hope at least one game comes out on ps4 xbox infinity or even pc than almost looks real.... I know its possible on pc

Just a bit better than Crysis 3, you can't tell how far consoles can handle, its the game optimization, some games are poorly optimized some games are highly optimized.

Ok so Ps4/xbox720 is the new kid in town............ what do you think crysis 4 will look like on ps4 and how real can games look on the ps4 based on your personal opinion in other words can the ps4 handle graphics 3X times better than battlefield 4 or killzone shadowfall

I highly doubt it will keep up to PS6. Also Quadro really just sucks for gaming, its for photoshop, video editing, rendering... etc. It's similar to FirePro (if im correct) series to AMD. So getting a titan is a much better choice for gaming.

I meant SLI (my bad)........... this card is definitely a beast for sure........ maybe it will last until ps6 ...............hmmm?? why not just buy a NVIDIA Quadro 6000

Titan is an NVIDIA card which uses SLI not crossfireX, infact it doesn't even support crossfire. the 7990 (AMD card) does support crossfire. And no, 4-way SLI titan wouldn't keep up with 12 years (12 years till ps6), but sure it would last till PS5 to handle everything on maximum settings. There might be a chance that it will still be powerful after 12 years on 4-way sli but i highly doubt it.

Is the titan that powerful OMG!!........ so your basically saying that if you have a 2 titans in CROSSFIRE you wont have to upgrade your graphics card until we reach ps6 (play station 6) ????

It's good enough for this generation of games :p I don't think most PCs can handle this type of realism (this vid) as a "game". It's possible if its crossfired/sli'd with 7990/titans.

I agree PC! is much stronger ............... are you impressed with {battlefield 4} level of detail?? i personally am not that impressed, i was expecting more.
