I'm waiting for my LadyCup to arrive--I hope I can use it. I couldn't get the Keeper in. It was very stiff and a little too big. These look more pliable. Thanks for this video! =)

I have an emergency. I just got a LadyCup and I like it. I don't feel it inside at all but the stem was a little uncomfortable. I trimmed it and now its worse I"m afraid to trim it all the way because I don't want to loose the cup. What should I do about this? A lot of woman trim the stem off completely don't they then shouldn't I be fine? Please tell me your thoughts.

@surpingbutterfly -- You'll be ok, just leave enough on the stem to where you can still reach it. Some people trim the entire stem off because they have a very low cervix / short vagina, so they can reach it easily without the stem. But that's not the case with everyone. To make the stem more comfortable, you can fine-tune your trimming and make it smoother. Take some fingernail clippers and smooth the edges. Instead of like this |_| make the edges like this \_/. Or file them a bit.

Their web site suggest not boiling or sterilizing it but does not specify why or via the kind of sterilization. Though they did recommend sterilizing it with their brand of soap or tablets. My question is, does this mean that I cant sterilize them with rubbing alcohol? I just bought one with the intentions of using rubbing alcohol but now I'm unsure if I should order a soap or tablets. They are just made of medical grade silicone.

@surpingbutterfly -- For some reason, even though most cups are made of medical silicone, the companies all seem to disagree on what is ok to use for cleaning. I'm not sure if its because different companies' materials have a slightly different makeup? So basically, if we as individuals decide to use a method that is not recommended on one company's site, but is recommended on another, it would be a personal choice to do so, outside of any company liabilities.

Can young and mid teenage girls use one, such as myself?
cheacky3 1 year ago
@cheacky3 -- Plenty do, as long as your cultural and religious, or personal beliefs are ok with it. Although young girls may need more practice while they get to know their body, but girls as young as 12 use these.
