2- what happened here in the Revolution. Marat didnt do anything bad did he?? i may support the old revolution, but i despise Marats memory for he was the true enemy of the people!
to get an idea of what this town looked like in middle ages, you must look at villages in middle east. many in rural areas have not changed in a 1000 years, not a big modern building in sight. all the buildings and houses closely packed with very tiny narrow streets. some villages still have theyre original walls!
I enjoyed the tour of Bezier and found it excellent. I will never be a visitor to the town but I am glad it was on the Tour De France route itinery this year.
Great fun. I live here but have never taken the little train through the town. Try arriving by the big train and come up through the gardens on foot. It's beautiful.
I will do a European trip in November and hoping to stay for a night or two in Beziers. Is it true that Beziers is lovely even in the winter?
Also.. is the town easy to reach? We will be coming from Brussels, Belgium.
What are the nearest seaside town? Are Narbonne, Albi and Pèzenas worth a visit, and are they easy to reach? (We will be counting on public transportation)
