IDPs reluctant to get voters cards

Some of the Internally Displaced People at the Yamumbi transit camp in Wareng District say they will not register as voters in the ongoing exercise of voter registration. The IDPs say it was because of voting that they are living in deplorable conditions after losing all their property during the post- election violence that followed the 2007 elections.

Shame on the goverment..its becos of the same vote that these IDPS are still in agony and suffering .With fresh memories of violence still in their minds surely the goverment is mocking them... i join them not to even bother...this is adding insult to the injury ...Hoping all Kenyans have learnt this hard lesson

Thats terrible...its so sad that IDPS are still living in such conditions while the politicians are busy crafting for the next elections,being greedy in constitution making process....sometimes its like there is no government in kenya!..
