Hey I have a problem it's most likely easy for someone else to solve. I have my IDE connected to the xbox, but my cable is short so there is a delay putting the IDE into the xbox. everything is recognized, but when I click quit and reboot. I boot my xbox and there is no sign of anything being softmodded. I might have connected a different cable. What is the master IDE cable? thanks please help

Ok I looked it up and you don't need the EEPROM.bin, but I think I need it, because I going to upgrade my xbox's HDD. So I need to get the eeprom file off my original HDD, or could I some how clone the HDD? Could i mod my Xbox with the original HDD first then clone it?

@HamsterJP if you want to upgrade the hdd you NEED the eeprom.bin. to get it you must first have your xbox modded (hardmod or softmod) and use a dashboard to back up the eeprom file and then ftp or copy it to a computer, put it on a floppy disk and use it to lock the new hdd you made with xboxhddm
