Joshua Stranger rambles on a bit in 1936 at an asylum (strange date, as the game has him working both from the 20s to the 40s; perhaps things were happening to him that are not shown in the game). Interesting phrases here - even if you're not a fan of the game, fans of horror and the occult might find this interesting (or at least amusing). I imagine that's Lynn Mathis whom you see. Doesn't look like the guy in the trailers (has a mustache, too!)

This again can't be viewed by GameTap subscribers, as far as I'm aware.

  • Hah, I just realized the background music effects here are heard in a later low-budget (but pretty cool) game, Nocturne. Now I've gotta suss out if that one uses premade public domain tracks, or just mixes pub domain sounds in. Hmm.

  • WHERE CAN I FIND A COPY OF THIS GAME?

  • I believe GameTap has it.

  • This was a fantastic game! cheers

I think the character made a cameo in Bloodrayne.

Curiously there is a grave marked only "Stranger"; a body in the American Civil War got wrongly redirected.

  • There's some crossover with the Blair Witch games developed by Terminal Reality, and one of them has you playing some Civil War veteran or something. Maybe you could look that up.

    Thanks for the info, cheers.

  • Especially the voice for the Stranger provided by Lynn Mathis who sadly passed away in 2003.

The last game he participated was Bloodrayne on 2002.God rest his soul,I love his voice and the character, Stranger.

  • Yes, I have to admit I was sad during my first playthrough of Nocturne knowing that he won't get a chance to do any more new games.

It's not that often that somebody can do an "unlikable" character in a likable way, but there it is.
