The Winslow family have, from what I have been told, been very considerate about sharing the memories of their cousin with the world...I know that when I stopped and took pictures of the house, they were outside and waved at me...very nice people...we owe them a debt of gratitude...mention that to the Winslow that you know from Dean Roosevelt in Toronto.

I was born and raised in the small town of Fairmount. No matter where I have gone I always knew I wanted to raise my family here. It really is like Mayberry. Just know that as much as you all enjoy James Dean weekend it really disrupts our small town life. We love having everyone as long as every one remembers to be respectful....this is our hometown and we are very proud and protective of it.

Very well put. I was there in the fall of 2004 and I felt that there was a reverential respect for the town being demonstrated by the people walking around the fairgrounds (maybe it was a park) where all the old cars were. I hope that you folks haven't had too many unfortunate incidents over the years.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. What makes Fairmount so great is the people who live there. Of course, Marcus Winslow and his family have been incredibly gracious to people for so many years. When you think about the number of irritating people that they have had to put up with, and see how they continue to accomodate all of us, that's pretty special.
