how do you know if the lcd screen is broken or if it is the len cover?

If the images is all messed up it is the LCD. If the image looks good under the plastic lens then just the lens.

my keyboard went crazy, different numbers / letters came up from what I was pushing then all the buttons have no function and no tones to them

I was able to briefly get to a call screen where i could scroll up and down but not select and call
