Bart vs. Ali - Jumping Barriers Race #6 Utah Cyclocross

Seemed like reigning champ Bart Gillespie had enough of his top challenger Ali Goulet building a gap jumping the barriers so he did it 5 laps in a row! We have seen Bart jump the triple log jump at Weber but Ali has been pushing him more this year, so he pulled out the "anything you can do I can do better" ; ) Jason Sager kept up his jumping ways as well and for some reason Ali held back this time after using the aid of the bunny hoping to a win the day before. Unfortunately, my camera had a mechanical at the finish so I could not display the massive power the winner put on at the end to make it a non-close call, but I'd rather have the shots of Bart jumping the barriers so I can't be too upset.

We're not worthy is right! This year and last, I've only seen 5 racers even attempt it let alone accomplish it! Phenom Rob Squire twice last year & the 4 world classers Ali starting race #2 this year, Bart, Jason Sager, & Eric Rasmussen this weekend.

I'm sure there are others but it seems very hard to do effectively. Always looks cool but these guys pick up a gap and doesn't slow them from killin it!

In the C's we were thinking there was no way they'd be jumping on that off-camber stuff. We're not worthy.
