Despite Japan's pledge to halve global emissions by 2050, it still emits more carbon dioxide than the entire African continent.
Environmentalists accuse the steel industry - which eats up the majority of the country's energy stock - of doing little to address their consumption levels and combat greenhouse gas emissions.

Japan is a very nature conscious country, as it has a lot of natural serenity in it's beauty. I wouldn't be surprised if they found a way to drastically lower the waste pollutants. Keep in mind the Kyoto protocols were held in that nation, and they do care
