Best game OST of all time, hands down
-
The tempo's too slow.

Damn I remember playing through this as a kid
check out my dusk horizon sampled hip hop beat on my channel
-
dude the part when the music starts your supposed to look down the cliff to get this "horizon" feeling looking down on that big river and all seeing the epicness of unreal... fail i say!
-
song which cannot be described with words truly epic nothing has come close
-
still get shivers down my spine every time that music kicks in. every. fucking. time. Makes me feel 10 again
-
I was just thinking about this particular gaming moment and wondered if anyone had posted it on YouTube, and here it is. Nice one!
-
The moment when you walk out of the crashed ship and this song plays, it was a small step for man but a great step for gaming!
seriously tho; great fkn game!
-
Stepping out from that ship the first time was the most epic moment in gaming.

@PiesCanFly You're not the only one. This is what Metroid 64 (AKA Project "Reality") could have been. I've always wanted to make my own Metroid game based on the Unreal 1 engine.
I know I'm commenting on my own video, but I can't help it. The moment @ 10-14 seconds as you leave the ship and the music fades in, still gets me every time. -I guess you could argue that it's the birth of the new gaming era, of how games (and modern) should be.

Truly an epic moment and thanks for catching it putting it up there mate; pure gorgeousness that brought me down the memory lane.
rant
The atmosphere, the music combined with settings and graphics made it an instant, instant classic!

Thank you. i know exactly how you feel, as i did the very first time i played Unreal.
I could upload more Unreal videos, but none would have the same impact as this did as you stepped outside for the first time into the unknown.
The shot around 2.02 was purely by accident, i was re-creating the first time i played it back in 1998. I was looking everywhere soaking up this scenery and music :). If you notice as i look up, the key does too and then the drums kick in. I just love that sky :)
