A word for the intelligent: DO NOT SUPPORT THAT WHICH DOESN'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO SURVIVE IN THE MODERN ERA. Because once you succeed that which you saved will turn to dust because it is a relic of a ridiculously inaccurate way of life.

And why the hell would you want to save a small little country of religious fanatics, primitive unoriginal methods of life, middle-age technology, and complete lack of useful ability? What possible use can come of this small worthless nation, what use at all? They don't trade anything of use, their idiotic religion is of no potential use to anyone even. in fact if i can properly recall, their religious fanaticism is what ended their empire in the first place. forget them.

My heart does not lie with the US either. And to assume so is further proof of the black and white thinking that clouds this issue. It's either the US OR China.
Tibet is not a part of China and the Dalai Lama speaks only the truth--which is more than can be said for the Chinese government.
