A video on the ridiculousness of spoonbending claims as a tribute to one of my favorite skeptics, Perry DeAngelis, who will be so very missed.

Perry was one of the "skeptical rogues" on the Skeptic's Guide to the Universe podcast ( http://www.theskepticsguide.org ), which I listen to every week. I may not have known Perry, but as a regular listener I feel like I did know him on some level. The podcasts just aren't going to be the same without Perry's silly/odd remarks and besides, who will now pick on Rebecca?

By the way, monkeys will always kick bird ass.

  • Monkeys rule! Miss ya Perry :) Nice video, BTW... you're easy on the eyes.

  • Why is questioning religious beliefs "pompous arrogance"? Why should a particular class of suppositions be exempt from scrutiny? I don't mean to attack you, but isn't the whole point to know what's true? Reality should be able to withstand scrutiny, and any supposition which is tested and passes becomes all the stronger for it.

  • Indeed

  • A heart felt beak flip to you. I miss Perry too.

  • You are very cool fellow skeptic Razela, oh and don't leave your guitar on the floor.

  • She's only a witch if she weighs more than a duck. According to the gospel of St. Monty of Python.

  • shes a witch burn her

  • Cute.

  • Thanks for the kind words you said to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I prefer red KoolAid but grape is nice. I haven't been to Guyana though. Nice reference.

No thesaurus though, it dissolves the spontaneity and personal expression that I like to share. Have a great day and GOD bless you! :)

  • nice words. glad you own a thesaurus. but you are, in the end, another credulous moron who has swallowed GALLONS of the kool-aid.

  • I agree with you. Religion and all things should be put under scrutiny to assure that the belief is structurally sound. However, in most cases religion is not put under fair scrutiny. The lens of the observer is tainted before it begins. Religion is a subject of faith- a Metaphysical question- not a physical one.

You were not attacking. You asked a fair question and I like your attitude. The post I was responding to seemed less fairminded. I may have been wrong. If so I apologize to herkemer.
