Just demonstrates how superior Baby Boom music and culture was/is to what prevails among youth today.

@HVMediaGroup I clearly see the promoters concern about bootlegging...esp. when an official DVD will be on the market...Concerts have to be paid for, the bands get their fees, etc....Times are tough and people need the dough in order to flow...
Enjoy!

Hippie, like beatnick, was a term made up by the media. The Sixties were a tumultuous time ad Woodstock was a too brief moment of repose before the downward slide of what we now call culture and civilization. It was a beautiful moment that was extinguished by Altamont, Manson, and Nixon. The festival could have been a real disaster had not the "straight" world (doctors, etc.) helped contain the health hazards that could have occurred. God, smiled down on Bethel for those three days.

Hi - I totally agree with your comment to Optionaxis - I think the guy has been hit in the head too many times by a snowboard! I like your reply to him - he definitely needs to GROW UP

Hi! Could you let us know when the Canned Heat videos are posted? You really did a good job capturing the acts and the fun of everyone there that day!

Lol, I opened the can of worms. How dramatic. I suppose it was also the straw that broke the camels back?
I offended a bunch of people all across the world, but your the only one that seems to be angry with me.
Are you the voice of the people.
I'll keep having fun at shows. Like the widespread/allmans show, and moe.down this weekend.
You keep replying to me on here and carrying your grudge.
This video is fun, but misses many highlights. For one, Superfly Shiho was very good (and nice to look at), but she only sang 2 numbers, and the gal that sang the rest of the Big Brother set (Sophia Ramos?) was rawer and - imo - better. Also, Ten Years After was a revelation. I wasn't sure what to expect from them w/o Alvin Lee, but Joe Gooch is great (though different). TYA were the only band that made me want to go out and buy their NEXT album, rather than simply revist past albums.

I wish we could have featured more songs but Great Woods, (on behalf of the artists) were very strict about how much we could shoot, (basically, only the first 60 seconds of each act). I was lucky to record later songs of Canned Heat -- if my camera had been pointed toward the stage, I would have been jumped. Sorry that I couldn't stick around for Levon Helms, but I have to build in at least 2 hours of edit time for videos, (plus travel time back to Middletown)
