  • Hey, ive got a jetta 1.8t, hat model of diverter forge is for my car? they are offering me a diverter - blow off valve forge splitter, theyve told me that is a blow off and a diverter at the sme time, which is better for my car. and also, do you have any video of a 1.8t stock with this valve? i would like to listen how it sounds; id like a moderate sound. thank you very much!

  • @DANTESK8CH I dont have a video of it. However, it will do the exact same thing as the Forge Valve. Especially the newer models. Once you add more HP then it has a better chance of compromising.

A Blow off valve is not the same thing at all as a diverter valve. BOV vents to atmosphere without recirculating the air for the MAF readings. DV recirulates the air helping with MAF readings, adding air to the intake of the turbo, helping to keep it moving. sorry no stock DV vid....

  • I have a Diverter valve similar to the Forge, I have it set up as Hybrid operation. But its very quiet. Is there anything I can do to make it a little bit louder? Should I twist or tighten the spring clockwise or counter for a louder sound?

  • What is a good shim and spring combo for a stock 1.8t setup?

  • @firefly4322 how do you invert it?

  • i got an a4 1.8t ultrasport for my 16th bday, if i get a k&n filter on it and put the dv valve on how much psi do i want? and will it give off that good sound?

  • the part where you assembled the DV, it was pretty quick.

i just had a question about the shims. How does it go?

Piston, One? or Both? shims...., then the spring, then the cap.

Do you put one shim in? or both?

  • You forgot to take into consideration that the air heats up after going through the turbo. If you're wanting to insure you're getting cold enough air to the engine, you'll need an aftermarket intercooler. Only gains you'll receive from any intake (CAI or RAI) is simply that there's less air flow restriction.

  • @brontoe I havent lubed mine since 55K miles I am now at 122K miles. I wouldnt recommend not lubing your 007P regularly, I think I just got lucky.

  • @Diastavrones I thought they sounded the same. However, I invert my Forge 007P to get a sharper sound.
