The Young People's Chorus Of New York sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" the national anthem of the United States of America.

The New York City Port Authority Police, Police Department and Fire Department Pipes and Drums Band play.

Peter Dow, Scottish Republican says

"Here in Scotland, we are watching the 9/11 ceremonies live from America. The Scots remember with Americans, we mourn with Americans and we honour with Americans, because we love Americans and we stand with the American flag and the republic for which it stands.

Our unity, between Scots, Britons and Americans will never be broken - not by any number of terrorist attacks and atrocities, nor, certainly, by a Queen's minister shamefully releasing the Lockerbie bomber.

We don't need to sacrifice our principles for their oil. All we need is to be true to ourselves and to our friends.

For victory for freedom in the war on terror."

@SuperZilla12 Thanks buddy. Well maybe the wiser Britons can handle gaining another country after all the USA is a country and a friend Britain gained after the foolish kingdom royalists were defeated.

If we Scots fight for freedom using our brains then the price will not be too high.

@TheCelticknights I am a non-racist and my friendship and love is for all Americans irrespective of their ethnic origin. My favourite American is Condoleezza Rice.

The people whom I feel no bond to are racists. The only race I am interested in is the human race.

There's a Scottish nation but no Scottish race.

I am interested in a Celtic nation but not in a Celtic race.

All decent people should be friends with one another in solidarity against the inhumanity of the 9/11 attacks.

@TheCelticknights We need to remember the biggest threat to freedom came from the Nazis, race supremacists, who wanted to enslave the whole world.

Maybe you did not mean to, but you insulted all Scots, Britons and Americans who died for freedom while fighting the Nazis when you equated freedom with blood.

If I am to forgive your vile insult you should apologise to our freedom fighters.

The Nazis fought for their notion of blood-and-honour but we must know that freedom is what matters.

@ScottishStandard Let me ask you this brother,when the muslim nation comes to Scottland and wants to replace Scottish site's for a Mosque?? will you be ok with that?? also in England as im sure you know its not going so well for the indiginious

peoples.I wish things wernt this way but the world isnt allways a nice place and its against our very nature as human beings to be at peace for very long.Look at history !! i dont need your forgiveness

i said nothing about nazis or anyone else.Ya read way to far in to this.real simple message Im pro American and pro Scottish .freedom costs blood so if that doesnt work for you no problem.I know firts hand the cost of FREEDOM
