Our Boeing 767-300(ER) lands on sunny runway 09 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Unfortunately, as we vacated the active runway, ATC asked us to hold "short" of the apron as all parking spots were still occupied.
Finally, after... 42 minutes spent idling on the taxiway, we could proceed to the first available wide-body, ending a rather beautiful but long day.

  • that landing seemed....very fast lol.

  • @WorthWatchingVv

    You think so...?

Maybe due to the fact that we were quite heavy (full load of passengers, significant cargo weight in the holds, plus tankering fuel that we bring from origin), resulting in higher landing reference speed.

  • I see the empty north ramp and some parking.

  • @pumeshyou : There was indeed some parking available on the northern ramp, but it's unfortunately not suitable for wide-bodies aircraft...

  • actually, I saw a lot of european heavies on the apron... the BER A330 could be one of those.
