  • fuck off USA.

  • ... trend is towards democracy and oppressive one-party regimes are becoming more and more the minority. Those which are left, are being increasingly challenged. The CCP propaganda engine has tried to silence it but there has been widespread discontent in Chinese society this year. True not all the protests are about democracy but its obvious an increasing number of Chinese citizens are becoming more wary of the system. China must reform or collapse.

  • For all those people attacking democracy, I would say this this. No one is suggesting democracy is perfect. I live in a democratic country and there are aspects of it I strongly dislike. Individuals I would like to see silenced and so on. But if I have a choice between imperfect democracy or perfect totalitarianism I chose imperfect democracy EVERY TIME.

And this has nothing to do with culture. The Arabian Spring shows the democracy for freedom and democracy is universal. The international ..

  • along with other leading powers, recognise China is a fast growing economic powerhouse and as such trade is essential. A regional conflict, which in my view is unlikely, would only hurt the US and other western nations.

'where idiots have a right to shout their silly opinions'

    you mean like yours?

if you dont like freedom of speech, prove it and get off cyberspace

Your comment is a complete contradiction. If you really were interested in human rights and democracy you would realise they are more important than neo-nationalism and the same old cliched anti-Americanism. 'We will never let the motherland down for that' ?? no one is saying the 'motherland' will be let down, it can only be better. Washington recognises that change should come from within. I doubt there will be a regional conflict in Asia- how would that benefit anyone? The US,

  • The US is uncomfortable about China's development, which may take over its global resource. The way the US try to stop this, is to enhance civil conflicts in China and regional conflicts in Asia. The weapon the US uses, is so called Democracy and Human Rights. In China we want democracy and human rights, but we will never let our motherland down for that!

  • fuck off communist

  • @richis404 I believe it was Winston Churchill who said, "Democracy really is the worst type of government there is, except for all the others."

    1. Democracy is important because it gives the people a way to hold the leaders of a country accountable for their political actions.

    2. Freedom of speech is also important, beacuse with it comes awareness of human suffering that would otherwise not be known.

    3. The irony is that your posting your "silly opinion" is an expression of free speech.

  • I am glad women in china are free & more liberated today under China Open Leg Policy. Women can now leave their husbands in china to marry foreigner white men. China must be democratic like the west. In western countries married women are free to sleep with many men. All chinese woman today want to be westernised.
