He ki`i `oni`oni o Ke Lede o Kaminaka me ke Mele Ho`omaika`i Malianika. Video of Our Lady of Chaminade presented with the Marianist Doxology first chanted as an oli pule (prayer chant) in Hawaiian then sung in English.
This icon is displayed at the Humanities office at Chaminade University of Honolulu and was commissioned in honor of John Matthew Keolamaka`ainanakalahuiokalaninokamehameha`ekolu Lake, Chaminade University of Honoluluʻs first Kumu-in-Residence. A faithful son of Hawai`i and son of Mary. 1962-1993 St. Louis School. 1996-2008 Chaminade University of Honolulu.
Production Notes: Despite the use of a monopod to hold the camera, the video appears shaky because the icon is mounted relatively high up on an office wall and standing on the office chairs was needed to get the straight-on close ups. The audio was recorded in Mystical Rose Oratory a few minutes after the video footage was filmed.
