Caleb Adamyk was diagnosed with Trisomy-18 (Edwards Syndrome) three months before the date of his birth, March 20, 2009. The Adamyks were told that Caleb was incompatible with life and that he most likely would not survive birth. If he did survive, they were told that there was only a 10% chance that he would see his first birthday. When given the option of terminating the pregnancy, Jeannette stated, "I want to be the best mommy I can be to Caleb, even if it's just for a moment. I will love him his entire life."
Steven and Jeannette Adamyk, together with their sons, Corey and Devin, have been lovingly active in Caleb's care for his 29 months of life until he passed away, following complications after surgery, on August 29, 2011. The Adamyks have also been active in reaching out through Facebook to other families struggling with Trisomy-18 and to families of other special needs children. This video is a tribute to baby Caleb (affectionately known to me as Little Big Boy) and the sweet love of his precious family. For information, you may contact the Adamyks at Jeannette Adamyk's Facebook page or by accessing their blog: http://www.calebsjourneyfromgod.blogspot.com.
Jacqui Janetzko, a photojournalist with the Star Banner (ocala.com) posted several videos about Caleb and his family. The latest video, "Caleb's Story" can be viewed at: http://www.ocala.com/article/20111003/ARTICLES/111009938/-1/living?Title=Vide....
Special thanks to the photographers: Jacqui Janetzko, Wendy Donaldson, and Chontee Ecker-Joyner, as well as Steven and Jeannette Adamyk.
UPDATE: On November 20, 2011, a pro-life event, "Born This Way? Made This Way... Wonderfully (Psalm 139)" was held at World Live Cafe in downtown Philadelphia, PA. This video was played to the audience before Steven and Jeannette Adamyk came up to speak. The Adamyks speech may be viewed at : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QxceDNb5f4.

Thank you, Marlene. While the video was put together with prayers for peace and comfort to my friends, the Adamyks and their friends and family who watch this, the photography credit goes to others. The music, "Beautiful Things" by the Michael Gungor Band was used with the permission of the recording agency, Brash Music and the music publisher, EMI Christian Music Publishing.
