This is me playing along Porcupine Tree's "Anesthetize". Its one of my favourite, if not my favourite PT song. Same with the drummer, Gavin Harrison, who was for the past one, two years the most inspiring and creative drummer for me. So it is obvious, that I involved his style in my playing.
The way I play this song is a mixture of improvisation of myself, the things Gavin played on the record and on live gigs, like the MD Festival.
I hope youll enjoy it and would like to hear your opinion about it ;)

Hey dude, what kind of exercises/rudiments/routine practices do you do? You have pretty creative fills.

@ReductioAdAbsurdum1 Thanks dude! I mainly do combinations of parradiddle, double strokes and single strokes for the hands. Another great exercise is to play very slow double strokes with your hands moving around the kit. Like the first stroke on floor tom, second on snare, third on hihat, fourth on snare again. If it works well you can play it more fast. Gives you alot of control.
For the feet I also play parradiddles and simple 16th and triple grooves.
Hope it helps :)

Cheers! Yeah - that makes sense. How do you count it? I've tries 12 bars of 3/16 then one bar of 4/8 - that kind of works but it still hurts your head! :-)
