Your piggies are absolutely gorgeous! The white one looks like my Sugar <3 Don't listen to ignorant people, what you're doing is fine! It's good for them to work for their food anyway, you don't want a sluggish, overweight guinea pig. They seem happy and healthy, and it makes me really happy to see that you take care of them properly. They are lucky pigs! :) What are their names? I have 7 at the moment, getting 2 babies when they're weened. I can't wait!

P3PTALK: I don't know if you've ever owned a guinea pig, but if you have it surely didn't live long. You CANNOT give cavies too much pellets; they will get a deadly condition called 'bloat'. Guinea pigs require a small handful of good pellets each, once a day only. They do, however, need a constant supply of hay and some veggies (greens in particular, or ones with not too much sugar). If you let a guinea pig eat as much as they want, they would eat themselves to death, they are always hungry!

It seems fun to go inside one of those.

cute ball as long as they are definately able to eat as much as they want :)
Guinea pigs need guinea pig pellets available at all times. Don't you think they'll get frustrated with that ball thing? There's hardly anything in it anyway! To make sure your guinea pigs don't get overweight, you need to let them run around outside when it's warm or in a free open space in the house. But again, guinea pigs need food pellets available at all times. It doesn't have to be a huge quantity, just enough for them to feed when they like.

Porky likes to headbutt stuff & this seemed like fun for them. They don't seem to get frustrated. In fact, they tend to get excited when I refill it. I disagree on feeding unlimited pellets though. I give them the advised amount(23-46g) & put pellets in this egg & a feeding ball. I consider hay & fresh veggies to be the main part of their diet, while top quality pellets are given to ensure they do not miss any vitamins/minerals. They do get floor time as well.
