My opinion: the only difference between exploting the gold mines by a foreing company or Colombian people is time: The foreing gold company explote the mines in 20 years, while for Marmato' habitants will take more than 20 years. However, I do not agree with a foreing company exploting the mines of gold because after all they leave more poverty in Marmato. Marmato's gold is for Marmato's people. Marmatenos, defiendan lo de ustedes. El oro pertenece a ustedes y sus genreaciones vinientes.

How much for a town? a disaster that helps a foreign company? what kind of live is ahead for this town when the company buys out the mountain? at the end they all are going to be just minimum low wages workers for a multinational. No sabes lo que dices, estas empresas mineras solo utilizan nuestra mano de obra barata, trabajan la mina por 8 años y dejan todo contaminado, el cianuro con el que lixivian el oro es veneno contaminan los mantos acuiferos, el aire y la tierra, quien viva cerca de la mina esta condenado a la muerte,
el progreso no debe justificarse con el daño al medio ambiente y menos con el genocidio que implica la mieneria a cielo abierto
