  • @squezey1 Electricity is often generated from fossil fuels, such as coal.

  • Hey Guys! I Want to Break 100k On Folding@home! Somebody with a fast computer Fold the User name Achronos and Team number 143016. I wanna be the first on my team to break the 100,000 Point Barrier.

  • @Tenraiden fossil fuels? Last time I checked electricity isn't a fossil fuel to the idiot you said that this is using fossil fuels. But yeah that's what it is doing. I have Folding@home on my ps3 and when I'm not using the ps3 I turn it on.

  • they use our processing power to watch porn, obviously

  • I am just using Windows 7 x64 with GPU client and it works like charm.

  • @ChesterDoraemon F@H just employs the unused cycles on regular PCs that would otherwise be doing NOTHING while wasting all the energy from fossil fuels. Yeah. You think all those GIGAHERTZ and GIGABYTES of computing power are being utilized to the max while you sit here reading this webpage, listening to an MP3 and maybe downloading a few porn?

@TX2010 Not taking sides here but it's kind of amusing to see you throwing such "facts" as if you were the final freaking authority on it. :)

  • @ChesterDoraemon What the hell are you talking about? greenhouse gases? HA, thats a good one, i bet all that CO2 will make the planet nice and toasty, Oh wait, whats that CO2 is a dependent variable in global warming rather than th independent cause of it?

Global warming/cooling is so new man, OMG we better start doing something about this now, since its not like the Earth has been doing this well, since IT BEGAN. Global warming is not new, and CO2 from fossil fuels has NO effect at all on it.

  • this is just contributing to greenhouse warming by wasting energy from fossil fuels. The incompetent people running this program have been doing this for years. What have they accomplished? NADA.
