The reason there can't be a resolution to the debate is that no one has the perspective of an observer who is outside time-space. We don't have a witness who was present at the big bang who can tell us what preceded it. If the multiverse or whatever "is" was created by an uncaused first cause, we can't prove or disprove it by observing what it created. You can either believe or decline to believe, but you cannot know, and that's the truth.

@nmtgmo The average number of neurons in the brain is 100 billion, current figures for glial cells are about 10x the amount of neurons. This is why, creatards who only read the bible and think humans have the same amount of brain cells as insects, are so often laughed at by the rest of us.
@DAJAZDJ1 Your count was a little unrealistic, projected number of dead is around billions, there are studies as to the specific estimate but I have no link. Trillions would include species other than humans.

If time is infinite in every direction, then their is no point in measuring it in any direction. Therefor there is no present (or there is ONLY present, either way it makes no difference). This western, linear, causality driven model of the universe is also troublesome... what gives us the assumption that one thing causes the other?

Infinity can still be cyclic/or spiral like. It also can be dynamic therefore having parts. Infinite number of parts, but still parts with some kind of continuity. meaning there is a certain space between the infinite number of parts..
