@MrMaalbarr I posted a response to your video with a suggestion of the probable cause, and hopefully, a solution.
Let me know if it works out for you.
Good luck!

@kg9pz Will do a video response when I get it, although it may be a little while as the rifle is being held for me until my variation from .303 goes through. Regards.

@MyHollowpoint How true....I have one, it's a Springfield 1911 A1, with a few added parts. I have the video posted if you care to take a look. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it, actually.

@kg9pz Thanks Scott, when you get a 1911, you'll love it :)

Good video. I'd be interested in seeing a demonstration on how to clean and oil this rifle (i actually have the Norinco version). I assume you can just pull out that main assembly and wipe it down and apply oil to just the moving parts etc? And then run a cleaning rod through the barrel?

@BeyondNeptune Yes. I didn't show the cleaning in the video because it's a lengthy process, especially when I do it, as I'm very maticulous in doing so. I wouldn't recommend oiling the bolt carrier group very much (extremely light, if at all) due to the carbon build up that occurs when fired. It will make cleaning easier, but will increase the amount of cleaning needed. Clean thoroughly, and very lightly oil. Mainly the rails are all that's necessary. Cln bore normally. Thanks!

Thanks for a great video. I've recently purchased a very slim elderly version of this rifle with the loading port on the top of the stock rather than on the side. It was made in Belgium and has a blued steel Browning scope fitted. I've no idea of its age yet, but look forward to picking it up from my dealer. The video will help with the cleaning, although it is smooth and tidy as it is. Thanks again.

@Bilbo107 Thank you! I hope this video helps you, and others, in maintaining this very fine rifle. I'd love to see a video of the one you're about to get. It sounds VERY interesting! All the best.

Thank you for this video, it was just what I've been looking for. My Dad picked this up in the late 50's (I think, as I can't find any serial #'s) when he was in Laos and its never been cleaned as far as I know.

@landser173 You're welcome! I hope it helps you get that beautiful rifle sparkeling clean! Make a video of the cleaning & rifle when you're done so I can see that beauty!
Thanks!
