  • @PhilosophyJunky I disagree with you, but you're entitled to your opinion.

  • @silencesoloud12 I am not trying to down-play the evil of rape. I completely agree with you that it is a great evil and harmful to many. My point is that there IS healing and there IS hope. Women who give birth after conceiving are not always constantly reminded of the most painful moment of their life, like you suggest in your previous comment. Often times the new life that is brought forth is what can give the greatest healing. Great love can be brought out of great evil if you allow it to

  • @pontific1 Read my response to PhilosophyJunky. It should get my point across. Just because an argument has been used for a long time does not mean it's invalid. I've seen what rape does to people, it happened to an ex of mine. It leaves emotional scars that don't heal.

  • @PhilosophyJunky I know a rape victim. She's miserable and she didn't have to deal with having a child come out of it. What's your point? That someone conceived from rape can be happy? Good for them, people who are raped are emotional wrecks for a long time.

  • @silencesoloud12 I have personally met someone who was conceived in rape. They are much loved by their mother and family. She is now a pro-life speaker and advocate.

  • @silencesoloud12 - this is the same old tired argument used time and time again to justify the extermination of millions of innocent lives. Nature shows us time and time again that beauty can be born from something ugly. Look at the catepillar that becomes a butterfly, or the burnt forest that burst with green in less than a year. Bad things happen to everybody, but good can come from bad, when love is present.

  • Let me counter your stance with a few questions. What if you were raped and left pregnant? Would you want to deal with 9 months of emotional torture? Would you then want to raise that child and be reminded of what was probably the most painful moment of your life everytime you look at him/her?
