He blames Palestinians. I blame the American and Palestinian governments for forcing the Palestinian youths into seeking out healthcare and education from a group of religous zealots that take better care of their own than the country in which they are citizens. The young recruits of Palestine have no other option for survival other to rely on terrorists to take them in and provide social benefits.

Exactly. America and Israel fostered those zealots as a direct counterbalance to the secular-nationalism of the PLO. Now they have Hamas and Hezbollah.

In a less corrupt country with a better service sector, yes, government controlled health care will give you health care at a still more expensive than competitive market, but at a decent price. In America... you can expect you are going to get ass rammed as usual.. there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Of course you won't here much about the system reliant on people actually taking care of themselves in America, because the government needs you to need them.. and they need your tax money.. more of it.. and if you don't give it.. that's okay, they'll just deflate the fuck out of your currency by printing it out and giving it to Wall Street.. you know, the ones who are lobbying for health care too.. so their pharmaceutical/health insurance stocks can go up?

The ideal health care system would be one that is so affordable that everyone can get health care, not where some guy eats hamburgers all day, gets a heart attack, so they steal it from you.. And the free market system does work.. the best example we have today would be singapore, where 3/4 of the health care privatized and as close to free market as we have in the world today. Albeit still lacking... but the cost is 4-5% of gdp.
