  • Same moves, different terminology. This will always be the case with poi when words describe what should be demonstrated.

To me, since you are inverted, this move is an inverted straight-jacket. My "fake-jackets" are the non-inverted kind. But whatever. We all know, thanks to video, what we are talking about now.

    Keep posting!

  • the only difference is your wrist is kinda under your elbow instead of threw the hole created by your other arm...this threading threw the hole is what is necessary for this to be called a SJ, otherwise it is just a crosser variation

  • I c wat u did thar.

  • what the fuck that is awsome

is there any way you can make a step by step video

i'm having trouble with straight jackets

  • dude why dont you make a tut for SJ ?where did you learned that?

  • hi i happen to think that your move should be called a crosser since its an actual crossing of the arms and traditional crossers should be named straight jackets as they represent the arm positions of a sj. you do have great poi control keep it up and push the bounderies

  • I call this an "inverted straight jacket" to avoid confusion. And yeah, what Zan names a straight jacket is a crosser variation, but then lies the issue of where is it appropriate to give variations names? You could say that what you're doing is a variation of an inversion, like an inverted crosser. Personally, I think you're both right, but it just highlights the need to a consensus on the terminology of poi to avoid such confusion.

  • damn!! i just though i had gotten them down... went to check it out on you tube... and here you are, showing me i have much to learn... thanks for the lesson.

  • nice demo :)
